Ways to use these pages
Match a mood
Choose the shy, laughing or silly face and explain what in the eyes or trunk gives that impression.
Color a cake from the bottom
Pick a different icing shade for each tier before coloring the candle flames.
Make a two-page story
Pair a garden elephant with the beach picture and decide what happened between them.
Begin with the elephant’s expression
The first few sheets put the animal’s face close to the viewer. One baby elephant has a coconut shell perched on its head, another wears a flower crown, and a third laughs with its trunk raised. The shy elephant has its trunk curled toward its cheek and almost no background. Ask a child to choose the face they like, then color the large ears before the finer shading around the eyes. These drawings have more short texture lines than a plain bold outline, so a sharp pencil may help with the coconut fibers or petal centers. The wild animal coloring pages offer more creature choices.
Bring the elephant to a celebration
Two elephants stand beside tall cakes with candles; one also has balloons and a party hat. The kitchen scene shows a chef-hatted elephant stirring a bowl among a jar, spoon and cups. Those props make the pictures useful for a birthday table or a pretend baking story. Color the cake tiers from bottom to top, giving each row of icing its own shade. The chef page has many small containers and ingredients, so it will take longer than the shy portrait. For another food-centered celebration, see the birthday cake collection.
Compare floats, bubbles and the beach
The young elephant holding a striped swim ring is standing on grass, while a later elephant sits inside a patterned ring against a plain background. A different sheet puts bubbles and a fish around the elephant. The final beach picture has a sandcastle, bucket, shovel, shells, birds and curling waves. Check those differences before picking a water activity: not every ring picture actually shows water. For a simple color plan, use one bright stripe on the ring, then repeat it on the elephant’s scarf or a nearby flower. The dolphin pages have more clearly aquatic scenes.
Try the fanciful and nature scenes
One little elephant has feathered wings; another sits on a tree branch, and one blows dandelion seeds from its trunk. These are imaginative scenes rather than a wildlife lesson. The winged elephant can be any color, and its feathers make a good place to repeat a small palette. The butterfly picture has more fine wing and ear marks, while the dandelion picture leaves a broad body to color. Pick one scene with a prop and one with open space to make a short two-page elephant story.
Happy coloring!
Start with a close elephant face for a shorter sit-down, or choose a birthday, kitchen or beach picture when there is time for the small details.

Questions
Are all the elephant sheets easy?
No. Some portraits have broad open areas, while cakes, flowers, waves and fine texture lines make other sheets more involved.
Which page works for a birthday activity?
Choose the elephant beside the layered cake or the party-hat elephant with cake and balloons.
Is the winged elephant meant to be realistic?
No. Its feathered wings make it a fantasy picture, so children can choose any color combination.
Can I print one elephant instead of the book?
Yes. Every sheet has its own PDF and online coloring option; the matching book gathers the selected pictures.
