Ways to use these pages

1

Build a month header

Choose one HELLO NOVEMBER page and color the lettering before adding a tree or animal picture below it.

2

Follow one leaf

Compare the tree, cloud, boots and raccoon pages; ask where a leaf has ended up in each drawing.

3

Sort the big and small shapes

Color a broad turkey feather or pumpkin section first, then try a small fruit or woven basket square.

Start with the words November

One page places HELLO NOVEMBER inside a scatter of falling leaves. A second sets the same words beneath a crescent moon and stars. The letters offer broad shapes to fill with stripes, dots or two chosen colors, while the leaves and stars add smaller parts around them. The grinning pumpkin and round turkey each have a NOVEMBER banner, so the month can also be the centerpiece of an animal or pumpkin picture. These pages work well as a calendar divider or a doorway sign without needing a holiday greeting.

Pick a leaf scene

The tree is covered in many small leaves, which makes it a slower page than its simple silhouette suggests. A smiling cloud drops a loose cluster of leaves; two plain boots sit among a smaller pile. The curled fox rests on a thick bed of leaves, while a raccoon holds one large leaf in its paws. Ask a child to compare where the leaves are in each picture: still on the tree, falling, under an animal or carried by one. For a broader set of leaf shapes, visit the fall leaves coloring pages.

Choose an open shape or a packed harvest

The waving turkey, pumpkin with a tall hat and little bird emerging from a pumpkin have roomy body shapes and spare backgrounds. The harvest basket is much fuller: small produce sits above a woven basket with repeated squares. The cornucopia is the densest picture here, with braided bands and overlapping fruit, vegetables and leaves. Give a child who wants a short turn one of the open characters; save the basket or cornucopia for a patient colorer with pencils. The Thanksgiving coloring pages have more harvest and turkey subjects, but these November sheets can also be used as general autumn art.

Make a small month display

Color one word page to mark the month, then let each person add a different picture around it: a leaf, an animal or a produce basket. The scarecrow can stand between the tree and harvest pages, while the moon page brings a different shape into the group. Each printed picture stands on its own, so a class or family can build the display over several days. Keep the next month nearby through the months coloring pages, or write a short caption beneath a favorite November drawing.

Happy coloring!

Use a HELLO NOVEMBER sheet for a month sign, the waving turkey or bird for a quick coloring break, or the woven basket and cornucopia when there is time for many small parts.
