Skunk coloring pages give a striped little character 20 garden and playtime scenes, from a sleepy flower bed to a drum kit. Most pictures sit in the middle of generous blank paper, with a tall curled tail framing the action. Children can finish the main shapes first, then add their own scenery around a balloon, umbrella, berry basket or teddy bear.

Ways to use these pages
Stripe before scenery
Leave the tail stripe white, then draw grass below the skunk with the heart balloon.
Garden rhythm
Color each drum differently and tap a short beat for the skunk drummer.
A berry picnic
Finish the basket page and sketch a blanket in the wide empty area.
Leave room for the stripe
The skunks have broad tails that curl upward beside their faces. Trace the long stripe with a finger before choosing which fur areas to darken. Leaving the light stripe as bare paper makes it easier to see, but an invented color scheme works too. The sunflower, teddy bear and heart balloon pictures keep the background mostly empty, so children can concentrate on the animal and one companion object. A little grass line can give the character somewhere to stand without filling all the available white space.
Choose the garden corner
A flower ring, a fallen log and a watering can provide three very different settings. Daisies around the sitting skunk have small petals, while the cut end of the log has curved wood rings. The watering can picture adds butterflies and stems, making it a longer task than a plain portrait. The umbrella scene uses one small rain cloud above a striped canopy. Try blue raindrops and a warm umbrella, then look at the flower pages for more petal shapes to use in a garden display.
Give the skunk a job or a treat
Round glasses and a book suggest a reader; a chef hat and spoon suggest a cook. Another skunk looks through a magnifying glass at a tiny bug, while the drummer has several instruments to decorate. Pick a prop first and ask what the character will do with it. The present, cupcake and heart balloon can become separate pictures for a celebration table. Food scenes include watermelon and a basket of berries, with room around them to draw a picnic. Pair a chosen page with the duck activity scenes and let the two characters share a hobby.
Happy coloring!
A striped tail and one small surprise are enough for a skunk story; let the blank background become its next stop.

Questions
Which skunk sheet has the most open space?

How can children keep the stripe visible?
Leave the light tail stripe as bare paper and use a darker color on the surrounding fur shapes.
Are there birthday skunks?
Yes. One peeks from a present and another waits beside a cupcake with a candle.
