13 Starfish Coloring Pages: A Playful Beach Day Free printable PDF · color online

ForChildren who like smiling sea creaturesFamilies planning a beach or summer activityGroups making a beach-day story from several scenes

These starfish coloring pages take two smiling sea stars from a sandcastle to a picnic beside the waves. A beach ball, kite, surfboard and shell hunt give each drawing its own small story. The star shapes are broad and quick to find; buckets, footprints and picnic food add smaller choices. Start with the beach ball or kite for a shorter session, then try the busy sandcastle.

Ways to use these pages

1

Tell a shore story

Put the castle, shell search, picnic and towel sheets in a day-at-the-beach order.

2

Make a two-color ball

Alternate two shades on the beach ball and repeat them on a kite tail.

3

Count the shells

Find and count the shells in two scenes before choosing a favorite to color brightly.

Build a sandcastle together

Two starfish work beside a castle with towers, a bucket and shovel. Color the large sea-star bodies first, then choose whether the sandcastle should look like pale beach sand or a bright pretend palace. This is a Medium page because its walls, flag and shells create several smaller regions around the main characters. The digging sheet shows a different moment: one starfish works with a shovel beside a mound while a wave rolls in. Put the pictures side by side and ask what happened between the first scoop and the finished castle. The beach coloring pages offer more settings for that story.

Chase a ball and fly a kite

Three smiling stars gather around a striped beach ball, while another pair flies a kite near the water. These are quick picks in the selected set: the ball, kite and sea stars have broad enclosed shapes with little fine pattern. A child can alternate two colors around the ball panels and use those same shades on the kite tails. The gentle waves make a background, but they do not need to be filled edge to edge. Ask whether the kite or the ball would be easier to play with on a windy day.

Search for shells and little tracks

One pair carries a basket of shells, another opens a pearl shell, and a trail of little footprints crosses a third beach scene. Children can count shells before choosing colors, then give one favorite shell a brighter shade. The basket and pearl pictures have more small spaces than the ball page; a narrower tip helps around the shell ridges. The footprint sheet invites a story about where the sea stars walked before reaching the shore. For other ocean creatures that might be nearby, see the fish coloring pages.

Pause under the umbrella

Two starfish rest beside an umbrella and towel, then share a picnic with fruit and a jug. A surfboard stands between another pair, and one star draws a large heart in the sand. These scenes vary the beach-day pace without repeating the same umbrella drawing. The picnic has small food shapes and takes longer; the upright surfboard is a broad, calm picture. Let children choose an umbrella pattern or leave its panels plain. At the end, the towel scene offers a quiet place for the starfish to relax. The ocean coloring pages continue the seaside theme with more water scenes.

Happy coloring!

Choose a ball or kite for a short picture, or print several scenes to follow the sea stars from sandcastle to shore picnic.

Questions

Which starfish sheets are easiest?

Try the beach ball, kite or upright surfboard. They use broad star and prop shapes with fewer small beach objects.

Do all the starfish pages show sandcastles?

No. The selected set also includes a ball, kite, picnic, shell basket, pearl shell, surfboard, footprints and a heart drawn in sand.

Which page has more details to color?

The sandcastle and picnic have more pieces: towers, shells, food and beach tools. They suit a longer session than the ball page.

Can I print every selected starfish page?

Yes. The Starfish Beach Day Coloring Book combines the 13 selected sheets into one PDF. Each sheet also has its own PDF.

Can a child color a starfish online?

Yes. Open an individual sheet and choose Color Online to color that same drawing in the browser.
