ForAges 4–12T-Rex fansHome and classroom
These T. rex coloring pages show smiling little dinosaurs with short arms, broad bellies and long tails. The first pictures place them between palm trees, hills and one clear volcano. Three others show babies in cracked eggs. The drawings use open body shapes that suit bold colors, while palm fronds and eggshell edges give a few scenes more detail. None shows a fierce predator.

Ways to use these pages
Egg to explorer
Color a hatching baby and a standing dinosaur, then tell what happened between them.
Two dinosaur colors
Choose one color for the body and another for belly, claws or spots.
Near and far
Give foreground ferns a stronger color than distant mountains.
Color the dinosaur first
A large smiling T. rex stands under a sun with mountains behind it. Its broad belly and tail are easier to tackle before the little teeth, claws and ferns. Other standing dinosaurs share that friendly shape, but the surroundings change: one stands between palm trunks, another sits with a volcano behind it, and another looks up beneath small clouds. Try a main body color and a lighter belly shade. There is room on each broad dinosaur body for homemade dots or stripes without covering the original lines.
Look closely at each landscape
The palm leaves on the first three sheets provide narrow sections that ask for a sharper pencil. The volcano has a wide slope and a small cloud above it; the mountains farther on are simpler triangles. Ferns and rocks sit near the dinosaurs’ feet. Color the foreground plants before the distant hills to make the scene feel layered. A child can choose one palette for every landscape or imagine the dinosaur moving through different places. The dinosaur collection has other prehistoric characters for a wider mix.
Follow a baby from its shell
Three pages show a baby T. rex at different moments in a cracked egg. One peeks from the bottom shell with a caplike piece overhead; another sits between matching shell halves; a third stands in front of a tall broken shell. The eggs are useful for choosing a second color that differs from the dinosaur. Put the three in an order and ask what the baby might see first. The centered baby in a shell has especially broad areas, while the leaves and grass around the others add a little more work.
Make a gentle dinosaur story
After the hatching pictures, choose a standing dinosaur among boulders or tropical leaves. That creates a simple picture story without claiming these cartoon drawings show scientific history. The individual PDFs let a family pick one smiling character for a short activity. The complete book gathers the selected scenes for a longer afternoon. Keep the sky white for a quick finish, or add a light color around the sun and clouds. Children who enjoy a more magical creature can follow the dragon pages afterward.
Happy coloring!
