ForAges 4–12Zebra fansHome and classroom
These zebra coloring pages follow playful foals through flowers, tall grass and a few imaginary moments. One nudges a sunflower, another meets a puppy, and a sleepy foal rests beneath a tree. Their stripes create the main coloring challenge even on the simpler scenes. The apple tree, spring flower field and puppy meeting offer extra details when a child wants to stay longer.

Ways to use these pages
Two kinds of stripes
Color one foal traditionally and a second with alternating bright stripes.
Resting and running
Put a sleeping and a jumping zebra together and compare their legs and tails.
Make a meadow story
Choose a flower, apple tree or puppy scene and tell where the foal will go next.
Start with the zebra, then the setting
A standing foal among flowers gives children one clear animal to focus on. The beach-ball picture adds a large round prop, while the rainbow scene invites completely invented colors. Zebra stripes are narrow, so even these quieter pictures need more care than a broad, unpatterned animal. Let a child color the mane, muzzle and larger body areas first. They can fill some stripes, leave others white, or choose a playful color pattern rather than copying a photograph.
Follow a foal through the meadow
Several zebras move in different ways: one runs through tall grass, another jumps over flowers, and one clears a small stream. Put a running and resting page side by side and ask what changes in the legs and tail. The sleeping foal beneath a tree has closed eyes and a curled body, which makes a gentle quiet-time choice. The horse coloring pages offer another hooved animal to compare with the zebra, while these pictures keep the focus on stripes.
Save the busier backgrounds for later
The rabbit and zebra stand below an apple-laden tree, with many leaves and fruit above them. A leaping foal is framed by flowers and little insects; the puppy meeting has reeds, cattails and blossoms around both animals. Those scenes have small spaces across much of the sheet and suit a finer pencil. The sunflower pages are calmer by comparison: color the zebra first, then use a second shade for the petals. Two foals may visit similar flowers, but their poses and backdrops give different little stories.
Make stripes into a color experiment
Print two copies of a favorite foal and compare a classic black-and-white version with a bright rainbow one. A child can count the stripes on one leg or use the same alternating pattern on the mane and tail. For a group activity, hang several finished zebras together and ask which background feels most like an invented place. The giraffe pictures make a useful next comparison: both animals have repeated body markings, but their shapes are very different. Each zebra has its own PDF and the same art in the online coloring tool.
Happy coloring!
Choose a standing foal for a focused stripe session or the apple tree and puppy scenes for more detail. The individual sheets and full book use the same reviewed zebra artwork.

Questions
Which zebra sheet is a good first pick?
Try the foal standing among flowers or the one beside a large sunflower. There is one main animal and a simple setting.
Do the stripes have to stay black and white?
No. The outlines work with classic colors or an invented rainbow pattern. A child can choose different colors for mane, body and legs.
Which zebra pictures take longer?
The apple tree, spring flower field and puppy meeting have many small background shapes alongside the stripes.
Can I print the whole zebra set?
Yes. The full coloring book PDF gathers the selected foals; each picture also has an individual printable PDF.
