Hearts among coats and windows

The February pictures place hearts on clothing, in the air and beside familiar activities. A child sits at a round table with an open book and pencil. Another holds a tray of heart cookies beneath a snowy window. Outside, children wear earmuffs and scarves among evergreens or bare trees. The puppy walk has extra details in its path and branches, while the child at the snow window has fewer background shapes. Most sheets still contain several small hearts, faces or decorative marks, so they suit children ready to work beyond a single large outline.

Give the guitar its own color

The park bench scene shows a child playing a guitar, with hearts floating between two trees. It can become a picture about sharing music: ask whom the child might be playing for and choose a bright instrument color. The balloon picture gives a different prompt, with one heart balloon above a seated child. Write a short message on the back of either page if it will be given away. For more single heart designs to mix into that activity, choose a sheet from the heart gallery.

Notice the different weather clues

There are snowflakes behind the cookie baker, round snow dots behind the waving child, and raindrop shapes behind the writing child and reading owl. Let children point out those differences before choosing window colors. They can leave the panes pale while making coats, scarves and room objects warmer. A small group could each choose one indoor or outdoor scene and explain why it belongs in their February display. Save a finished page alongside the January snow-day pictures to compare the two months without expecting every family to experience the same weather.

Happy coloring!

Pick a February scene the child would like to share, then write a short note on its back. A guitar player, a heart balloon or a tray of cookies can each suggest a different message, with the colors and words chosen by the child.
